2. Your details

Use your full legal name. Enter your name exactly as it appears on your driver's licence, passport, or birth certificate — the same name your USI is registered under. Nicknames and shortened versions (Andy for Andrew, Tommy for Thomas) cause the USI check to fail and block your certificate.

All given names, exactly as on ID.

3. Unique Student Identifier (USI) *

Your USI is a 10-character code (letters and numbers) issued by the Australian Government that links all your nationally recognised training records — across every RTO, TAFE, and university. It is free, takes about 5 minutes to create, and you only ever need one. By law we cannot issue you a Statement of Attainment without it.

Create one at usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi ↗. You will need a photo ID (driver's licence, Medicare card, passport, etc.). Come back to this form when you have your USI.

Why we collect your personal information As a registered training organisation (RTO), we collect your personal information so we can process and manage your enrolment in a vocational education and training (VET) course with us. If you choose not to provide the personal information we ask for, we will not be able to enrol you as a student or report your training activity as required by law. How we use your personal information We use your personal information to enable us to deliver VET courses to you, and otherwise, as needed, to comply with our obligations as an RTO. How we disclose your personal information We are required by law (under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act)) to disclose the personal information we collect about you to the National VET Data Collection kept by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics about the Australian VET sector. We are also authorised by law (under the NVETR Act) to disclose your personal information to the relevant state or territory training authority. How the NCVER and other bodies handle your personal information The NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the NVETR Act. Your personal information may be used and disclosed by NCVER for purposes that include populating authenticated VET transcripts; administration of VET; facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage; and understanding the VET market. The NCVER is authorised to disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), Commonwealth authorities, State and Territory authorities (other than registered training organisations) that deal with matters relating to VET and VET regulators for the purposes of those bodies, including to enable: · administration of VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation · facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage · understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information. The NCVER may also disclose personal information to persons engaged by NCVER to conduct research on NCVER's behalf. The NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients. If you would like to seek access to or correct your information, in the first instance, please contact your RTO using the contact details listed below. DESE is authorised by law, including the Privacy Act and the NVETR Act, to collect, use and disclose your personal information to fulfil specified functions and activities. Surveys You may receive a student survey which may be run by a government department or an NCVER employee, agent, third-party contractor or another authorised agency. 6. Before you enrol — important information

Under the national Standards for RTOs 2025 (Standard 2.1) we must give you the information below in writing before you commit. Please read each item, then tick the box at the bottom.

Fees, payment terms, and refunds

What you pay: A$ 285.00 per participant for this course.

Withdrawal & refund policy: Cancel more than 14 days before the course start date for a full refund less a $50 admin fee. Cancel 7–14 days before for a 50% refund. Cancel inside 7 days, or no-show, no refund — but you can transfer your seat to another date within 12 months at no extra charge. Medical or compassionate circumstances are considered case-by-case and never penalised.

No upfront payment over $1,500: Per ASQA requirements, we do not collect more than $1,500 per student before training starts. Larger fees are split into smaller progress payments.

Complaints & appeals

You have the right to raise a complaint or appeal an assessment decision at any time, without penalty. We respond to all complaints within 10 business days. The process has 3 stages:

  1. Talk to your trainer — most issues are resolved on the spot.
  2. If unresolved, lodge a formal complaint via our feedback form ↗ or email [email protected]. We acknowledge in writing within 3 business days and respond within 10.
  3. If you are still not satisfied, you can escalate externally to ASQA ↗ (the VET regulator) or, for USI matters, to the USI Office ↗.

An appeal does not affect your right to keep training. No fee applies to lodge a complaint or appeal.

Language, literacy, numeracy (LLN) and learner support

Every student does a short LLN diagnostic before training begins so we can support you properly. If the diagnostic flags a gap, your trainer will arrange one of:

  • Verbal questioning instead of written
  • A scribe or reader during knowledge checks
  • Extra time for written tasks
  • Plain-English versions of safety materials
  • Referral to an external LLN specialist if support exceeds our scope (no cost to you)

Tell us in confidence if you would like reasonable adjustments (mobility, vision, hearing, neurodiverse, language background, etc.). Email [email protected] or speak to your trainer on day one.

Privacy & how we handle your information (APP 5)

Who is collecting: Field Ops Australia (RTO 45729), [email protected].

Why we collect it: to manage your enrolment, deliver and assess training, issue Statements of Attainment, report training activity to NCVER as required by the National VET Data Policy, verify your USI under the Student Identifiers Act 2014, and contact you about this course.

Who we share it with:

  • NCVER (Australian Government statistical agency) — training activity records
  • USI Registry (Australian Government) — to verify your USI and link your record
  • ASQA or other regulators — only on lawful request or audit
  • Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd — if you pay by card (Stripe is US-based; data is processed under their AU agreement)
  • Xero Limited (NZ) — if your employer is being invoiced (NZ-hosted accounting platform)
  • Anthropic / Groq Inc. (USA) — for short AI-assisted text grading of free-response answers (your name is not sent; only your written answer + the question)
  • DigitalOcean (Sydney AU) — our hosting provider; data stays in Australia at rest

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for marketing beyond your own training.

Access, correction, and complaints: you can request a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or lodge a privacy complaint by emailing [email protected]. If you are unsatisfied with our response, escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner ↗.

Retention: training-activity records are kept for at least 7 years as required by NCVER. You can request anonymisation of personal contact details (name, address, phone) under Australian Privacy Principle 11 after course completion; the legally-required AVETMISS demographic codes are retained.

If you do not provide it: some fields are required by law (USI, AVETMISS demographics) — without them we cannot enrol you in nationally recognised training. Other fields are optional and marked as such.
